ILP to support Newcastle dark skies conference

The ILP is supporting a dark skies conference due to be held this autumn at Newcastle University.

The ‘Good Lighting – from Pollution to Solution’ conference, by DarkSky UK, is taking place on Tuesday 9 September, and will start from 9.15am.

The all-day event (which concludes at 4pm) will discuss latest research and thinking around the impact of artificial lighting at night, and best practice in mitigation strategies.

It is being held at the university’s Percy Building and is free to attend, but attendees are being encouraged to register in advance.

Registration details can be found at: https://darksky.uk/conference/

The conference’s other supporting organisations are the IALD, LIA, and SLL, along with the Electrical Contractors’ Association and Dark Sky Discovery.
