New permanent CEO for Women’s Engineering Society

The Women’s Engineering Society (WES) has appointed Susan Robson MBE as its permanent chief executive officer.

Susan joined WES as interim CEO in November 2024, but has now stepped up to the role permanently.

Dr Katherine Critchley, on behalf of the WES president and trustees, said: “Susan has not only fulfilled her commitment to strengthening relationships across the organisation and with our partners, but has exceeded our expectations in driving positive change. We are confident that WES is in excellent hands under Susan’s continued leadership.”

Under her leadership, the society will be focused on growing its reach, fostering cross-sector collaboration and, it said, “ensuring the Society remains a powerful voice for equity, inclusion, and innovation in the engineering profession”.
