Promotion for WSP’s Toby Penter

Well done to Toby Penter, who has been promoted to the role of principal lighting engineer at WSP in the UK and Ireland.

Toby said of his new role: “The promotion is a recognition of the work I’ve done over the last three years at WSP, most recently, the value we delivered for National Highways on their Lighting Asset Inventory Survey and work I’ve done internally with the group leadership team developing our new academy programme for early career professionals – LEAP (Lighting & Energy Academy Programme).

“As my career progresses I’m developing technically, and hope to continue writing articles, delivering papers, and building up my technical knowledge in the new role as I specialise in all things environmental lighting design, net zero, and circular economy.

“A key development area for me is my people management skills – and this is something I’ll be developing in the new role. As ever, I’m keen to support initiatives within my company and the wider industry to train new apprentices and graduates, and will be getting more involved in these as part of my new role,” Toby added.
