    The Role: We are seeking a Senior Engineer to design and oversee the installation of new street lighting along with maintaining existing street light assets. Providing advice and guidance to others on the technical requirements of new street light designs. The role also involves managing the work the term contractor carries out on the street light stock ensuring compliance with standards and ensuring the asset information is up to date. The team provides a blend of operational and strategic responsibilities, offering the opportunity to represent Bath & North East Somerset at local, regional, and national levels.

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Experience: Substantial experience in the design, installation and maintenance of Street Lighting.
    • Knowledge: Extensive understanding of the national policy context and regulatory environment.
    • Skills: Excellent resource management, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability.
    • Innovation: Ability to identify opportunities for improvements.
