ILP members are invited to join a workshop on the importance of daylight exposure for young children.
The Bright Start Workshop is led by an international team of researchers who are experts on light. The workshop is funded by the Daylight Academy.
The workshop will take place in central London on Wednesday 8 July, from 10am to midday.
The workshop will explore the role of daylight in young children’s lives. Specifically, it intends to gather insights on the opportunities and barriers for young children experiencing the benefits of daylight.
As well as lighting professionals, nursery staff, childminders, caregivers, teachers, and policy-makers are being invited to take part.
The findings from the morning will guide future research on daylight and child development. It will also inform the design of solutions for enabling children to experience the benefits of natural light.
Those interested in attending the workshop, or in getting more widely involved, should get in touch with Dr Jemima Unwin Teji (lecturer at University College London): jemima.unwin@ucl.ac.uk or Dr Aicha Diakite-Kortlever (researcher at TU-Berlin University): aicha.diakite@tu-berlin.de
When replying, please state your interest and how your experience relates to the topic.
