Jess Gallacher to head Lutron Experience Centre

Jess Gallacher, former head of exterior and external at ASD Lighting, is taking on a new role as manager of Lutron’s London Experience Centre.

The role means that Jess, who also of course is well-known to ILP members for her years as the Institution’s Engagement and Communications Manager, will return to the forefront of the ILP’s How To Be Brilliant events.

Lutron is this year’s sponsor of the events programme, which was originally created by Jess when she was at the ILP. Many of the talks are being held at Lutron Experience Centre, including a special Halloween-themed talk next Tuesday (28 October).

Jess said of her new role: “Announcing my start in the role of a lifetime. I’m only here thanks to all the mentors, friends, colleagues, customers and supporters that I have been fortunate enough to work with, for and alongside over the years. Thank you to each and every one.”

Lutron said it was “excited to welcome” Jess to the centre. “Jess is a leading figure in the lighting community, well known for creating events which bring people together in celebration of light,” the company said.

“Throughout her career, she has combined her passions for quality lighting, circularity, and wellbeing along with supporting the next generation – maintaining her status as ‘industry friend’,” it added.

Jess will continue in her role as Chair of the ILP’s Midlands Region alongside her new Lutron position.
