Lighting Live Annual Conference: end of January deadline for call for papers

Members have until the end of this month (30 January) to put forward papers to present at this summer’s Lighting Live Annual Conference in Birmingham.

The call for papers from the ILP went out in January, with members being urged to come forward and get involved.

The Lighting Live Annual Conference will take place from Wednesday 17 June to Thursday 18 June at the Millennium Point in the city.

While members can submit papers on any topic for consideration, papers will be especially welcome on street lighting and infrastructure, attachments and asset management, EV charging infrastructure and related technologies, and policy, planning and adaptive lighting.

Other key topics in the mix for Birmingham are energy efficiency, sustainability and innovation, skills, experience and workforce development, as well as project case studies, research and applied technical solutions.

Submissions should include the title of the paper, a short synopsis and a presenter biography. Presentations should last approximately 30 minutes, including time for questions.

All submissions will be peer reviewed by the ILP’s Event Technical Committee.

Submissions should in the first instance be sent to ILP Technical Manager Guy Harding on guy@theilp.org.uk

Members can keep abreast of all the developments in the run-up to Lighting Live online at https://theilp.org.uk/events/lighting-live-annual-conference-2026-birmingham.html
