Power of three

The WLP, YLP and ILP London will come together early in the new year for their first ever joint CPD event, ‘Tria Luminaria’.

The free afternoon event is being held on 23 January from 12.30pm at the offices of Introba in London and is being sponsored by DW Windsor and CU Phosco.

While the focus of the CPD will be the opportunity – and challenge – of how to take sustainability and circularity to the next level, it will also be the one-year anniversary (to the day) of the launch of the WLP, and so promises to be a double celebration.

There will be a talk by INDO’s Lawrence Baynham on ‘Climate change and the future of lighting’, while WSP’s Anjali Sawal will discuss ‘Illuminating change: how young lighting professionals drive the circular economy’.

Outgoing WLP chair Kimberly Bartlett will reflect on the first year of the WLP, Clare Thomas of Urbis Schréder will present a CPD paper, and the day will end with a panel discussion on what more lighting, especially up-and-coming generations of lighters, needs to be doing to help save the planet.
