Call to join Engineering Council board

EngineeringUK is seeking people new to the industry to join the board of the Engineering Council, with a deadline for applications of Wednesday 16 April.

The candidates should have at least one of the following experiences, it has said:

  • Apprenticeships’ experience, as a participant or supporting delivery of the pathway.
  • Technician-related experience, as a technician or supporting delivery of the pathway.
  • Experience or current knowledge of those at an early career stage.
  • International engineering regulatory experience and/or knowledge.
  • Digital, technology and cyber expertise.
  • Commercial, marketing and sales experience.
  • Learning and development/CPD experience.

The board meets four times a year (with in-person or remote attendance options). All meetings include a discussion on key strategic topics.

Applications (including a recent copy of your CV and a summary letter) should be sent to hr@engineeringuk.com

Applicants should include the title ‘Engineering Council Trustee application’ in the subject line of their email, and specify the skills or experiences they would bring to the role, as outlined from the criteria listed above. To recap, the deadline for submitting applications is Wednesday 16 April.
