Senior lighting designer promotion for Michael Grubb’s Anna Freiesleben

Michael Grubb Studio has promoted Anna Freiesleben to the role of senior lighting designer.

The award-winning lighting design studio is based in Bournemouth and London, and Anna was one of a team that presented a ‘How to be brilliant’ talk for the ILP last year.

She is pictured at that event, during last year’s Clerkenwell Design Week, fourth from left along with practice owner Michael Grubb (far left), head of Bournemouth Studio Melissa Byers (second from left) and ILP Chief Executive Justin Blades (centre).

Since joining the studio, Anna had brought “creativity, precision and purpose to every project – always asking how lighting can elevate both space and experience”, the practice said.

“Anna says she’s excited to take on more responsibility and continue mentoring others in their own design journeys — something we’ve already seen her do brilliantly,” it added.
